Questions, answered.
Quick answers to the questions we hear most. Anything else? Our team is one call away.
Do you support both import and export clearance?
Yes. We provide customs clearance support for import and export cargo.
Which documents are needed?
Typically the commercial invoice, packing list and shipping documents — we will confirm the exact list for your cargo.
Can clearance be combined with shipping?
Yes. Clearance can be coordinated together with our shipping & logistics services.
How do I get started?
Share your shipment details through the enquiry form and our team will guide you.
What is an IEC, and do I need one?
The Importer Exporter Code is a ten-digit code issued by DGFT. Any business importing or exporting goods from India needs one — it is quoted on the shipping bill and on the bill of entry.
What are a Bill of Entry and a Shipping Bill?
A Bill of Entry is the declaration filed for imported goods before they can be cleared. A Shipping Bill is its counterpart for exports. Both are filed electronically on ICEGATE and carry the value, classification and duty details of the consignment.
Who decides the HS code for my product?
You declare it, and the classification decides the duty rate — so it is worth getting right. If you are unsure, send us the product details and we will help you check the code before anything is filed.
What happens if my cargo is held for examination?
Customs may ask for a physical check or for more documents. We answer the query, arrange the examination and keep you posted. In practice most holds are about paperwork rather than the cargo itself.
