1. About this policy

Shri Nagnechiya Commercial Chamber (“SNCC”, “we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to enquiries you send us through it.

We handle personal information in line with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what you choose to give us, and basic technical information that every website receives.

  • Enquiry details: your name, company or firm name, mobile / WhatsApp number, email address, city or state, the product or commodity, quantity, destination or origin country, and whatever you write in the message box.
  • Correspondence: emails, WhatsApp messages or call notes that follow your enquiry, so our team can respond and keep a record.
  • Technical information: our hosting server keeps standard logs such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and time of visit, for security, troubleshooting and fraud prevention.
  • Session cookie: a single cookie keeps your form session and security check working. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We do not ask for, and request that you do not send us, sensitive personal data such as bank account details, card numbers, government identity numbers or health information through the website forms.

3. How we use your information

  • To answer your enquiry and discuss your shipping, export, import, customs or related requirement.
  • To prepare quotations, proposals and bookings you have asked for.
  • To coordinate a service you have engaged us for, including documentation and clearance.
  • To keep records of enquiries and transactions for follow-up, accounting and legal compliance.
  • To protect the website and our systems against misuse, spam and fraud.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.

4. Who we share it with

To deliver a service you have asked for, we may share only the details necessary with:

  • shipping lines, carriers, freight forwarders, transporters and warehouse operators;
  • customs clearance professionals and port or terminal authorities;
  • overseas agents and counterparties involved in your consignment;
  • our hosting, email and IT service providers, who process data on our instructions;
  • professional advisers, or government and regulatory authorities where the law requires it.

Where a shipment moves internationally, the information needed for that shipment may be shared with parties outside India. We share only what is required to complete the service.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept as long as needed to respond and to maintain a business record, and thereafter for the period required under applicable tax, customs and company law. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.

6. Security

This website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, enquiry records are held in a password-protected admin system, and access is limited to authorised SNCC personnel. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

7. Your rights

You may ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information of yours we hold;
  • correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete information that we no longer need to keep;
  • stop using your details for any purpose you did not ask for.

Write to [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we may retain information the law requires us to keep.

8. Third-party services

This website loads fonts from Google Fonts, shows an embedded Google Map on the Contact page, and links to WhatsApp. When you use these, the relevant provider may process technical data under its own privacy policy. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

9. Children

This website is meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Please review it occasionally.

11. Grievance contact

For any question, concern or complaint about how your information is handled, contact us at [email protected] or on the phone numbers listed on our Contact page. We will acknowledge and address your concern promptly.
